History
I founded my company Ideas In Action in 1978 out of my passion for talking, teaching, drawing and a desire to help the world while being self-employed. Ideas In Action later morphed into the Human TuneUp Company.
Just as I knew how one sentence could help me change my idea of who I thought I was, or could be, I wanted to do that for others.
My work has allowed me to travel and meet people all over the world. As a speaker and workshop leader, I have traveled to Australia, Europe, Canada and Guam and all 50 states teaching customer service, leader development, and stress management and a host of subjects that help businesses work better.
Through these experiences, I began to grasp the big picture of the human race to see first hand how we are all alike and yet different. From those interactions, I was able to formulate, talk and write about ‘the human tune-up’ in a more meaningful way. This continues to this day.
In addition to my speaking and training engagements, I worked as executive director of a non-profit organization who partnered with the US Department of State. That involvement led me to meet people from over 145 countries that has included youth leaders from Iraq, women entrepreneurs from 18 countries and a breast cancer awareness delegation from 10 countries in the Middle East.
I have met the world face to face which fuels my passion our mission at Human TuneUp Company: helping the world work.
